Lezginka in honor of the victory

October 22 – 23 in the palace named after I. Yarygin the VII International freestyle wrestling tournament among young men born in 1994 – 1995 for the prizes of the Honored Master of Sports, three-time Olympic champion, six-time world champion, Honorary Citizen of the city of Krasnoyarsk Buvaisar Saytiev was held .

Within the framework of the opening ceremony, the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Petr Ivanovich Pimashkov addressed the participants and guests of the tournament with a welcoming speech. “Freestyle wrestling is one of the most beloved sports in Krasnoyarsk. We have the best school, rich traditions and many names that are inscribed in golden letters in the history of sports. The strength of wrestling lies in the continuity of generations. I am grateful to Buvaisar Saytiev for this wonderful tournament, which opens the way for young guys to go to big sport, “he said.

In recognition of his contribution to the development of freestyle wrestling, Buvaysar Saitiev presented the Head of the city of Krasnoyarsk with a special Cup depicting the wrestlers who came together in a duel.

In the tournament 16 teams from Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, the republics of Buryatia, Khakassia, Yakutia, Tyva, the Jewish Autonomous Okrug, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Amur regions, Krasnoyarsk, Zabaikalsky, Perm Territories took part. In total, about 320 young athletes fought in the tournament aged 17-18.

Over two days of the competition, the tournament was attended by over a hundred honorable guests, among whom were the President of the Russian Wrestling Federation, Olympic champion, three-time world champion, three-time European champion, winner of the Golden Belt of the best wrestler in the world, Honored Coach of the USSR and Russia – Mikhail Mamiashvili, First Vice President of the Russian Wrestling Federation, Vice President of the European FILA Committee Georgy Bryusov. Vice-President of the Russian Wrestling Federation Alikhan Kharsiev, member of the FILA Bureau, President of the Interregional Charitable Foundation for the Promotion of Sports named after Ivana Yarygina Natalia Yarygina, director of the wrestling academy, professor, doctor of pedagogical sciences, Honored trainer of the USSR, Russia and Georgia, “The best coach of Russia in the XX century”, Honorary Citizen of Krasnoyarsk Dmitry Georgievich Mindiashvili.

On the second day of the competition, the Honored Master of Sports in Judo, bronze medalist of the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad in Athens Dmitry Nosov, heads of district administrations in the city of Krasnoyarsk also watched the progress of the fights.

For two days tense struggle was conducted simultaneously on three carpets in 11 weight categories. Sportsmen from Kazakhstan and Kemerovo region won two gold medals each. One gold in the piggy bank of representatives of Tatarstan and Tuva.

Most of the gold medals – in five weight categories – were won by athletes from Krasnoyarsk. Lezginka performed at the end of the final fight for the first place in the weight category up to 54 kg by Murat Nuhkadiev (Krasnoyarsk) was greeted with thunderous applause as a victory dance.

When summing up the tournament results by Buvaysar Saitiev with personalized cash prizes, Murat Nukhkadiev was noted as the winner in the nomination “For the best technique”, another Krasnoyarsk man Nikita Suchkov received the Saytiev prize as the winner in the nomination “For the will to win”. In addition, Boldhuu Bangsukh (Mongolia) and Zhanzhigitov Aitugan (Kazakhstan) were awarded with Buvaysar Saytiev’s special prizes.

The FILA delegate, Olympic judge Igor Vladimirovich Brel, who noted both the organizational work technical training of athletes, and the quality of the work of the referees.

The winners and their coaches, prize-winners of the tournament received cash prizes, medals and certificates. The total prize fund of the tournament was over 600 thousand rubles. All winners were also awarded annual insurance policies in the amount of 100 thousand rubles.
